Careers Programme
Careers education is critical to unleashing the potential of young people. By giving them the skills to succeed in any field and the guidance to explore the right pathways beyond school, we ensure they have the best chance to thrive and lead with confidence.
Oasis Academy Brislington’s Careers Strategy ensures a progressive and structured careers programme built on the Skills Builder Essential Skills framework. We follow the eight Gatsby Benchmarks to ensure high standards, while tailoring our approach to meet the needs of our students. Using student voice and local labour market information, we design a programme that is relevant, aspirational, and future-focused.
Oasis Academy Brislington uses Global Bridge to record and track every student’s careers activities and skills development. All students have iPads through the Horizons project, embedding technology into learning and careers education. Global Bridge ensures that every activity is logged and each student has a personal careers portfolio to celebrate achievements and support future applications. This helps us monitor progress and plan meaningful encounters that raise aspirations.
