A number of students have achieved superb individual results including:
Dina H achieved grade 9 and 8’s across her subjects. She will be studying A-levels in Biology, Chemistry and Product Design at St Brendan’s Sixth Form College and would like to go on to university to study medicine. When asked for words of wisdom for future students on how to achieve such success she said, “Work hard and never doubt yourself!”
Kyle V achieved grade 9s in Biology, Chemistry and Physics, a grade 9 in English, and a grade 8 in Maths and will be studying A-Levels in Maths, Further Maths, Physics & Business at St Brendan’s Sixth Form College and dreams of becoming an engineer. When asked for advice that he could give to students coming into Year 11 next year he stated, “Dedicate yourself to what you love and you will always succeed.”
Other student successes include:
Emma C, who demonstrated high levels of resilience and determination to achieve a scholarship to Clifton College to study Biology, Chemistry and History and has future aspirations to study biochemistry at Oxford University. Well done Emma!
Jude C, who flourished during his five years at the academy, showing huge amounts of perseverance and personal growth. We are really proud that he is going on to study sports journalism at Boomsatsuma College in Bristol.
Barnaby Ash, Principal and Natasha Robinson, Head of School at Oasis Academy Brislington, commented on students’ success saying; “We are thrilled for our young people who have worked so hard for these results. At Oasis Academy Brislington, we are passionate about giving our students the opportunities that they need to make great progress and flourish, and it's fantastic to see, yet again, our young people are leaving us with the qualifications they need to take the next step towards a fulfilling career.
“Today is also an important testimony and a credit to our fantastic teachers who are so dedicated to our students, enabling them to do their very best.”
Tom Worthington, Assistant Principal and Outcomes Lead at Oasis Academy Brislington, added; “This year has seen an outstanding effort from our students, teachers, and parents alike. We can’t thank everyone enough for their hard work and determination throughout Year 11. We wish all our students the very best in their next steps, wherever that may be. Their achievements are an inspiration to the younger students of what can be achieved.”
