Alumni Society as School Celebrates 70 Years

As Oasis Academy Brislington prepares to celebrate its 70th anniversary this September, the academy is pleased to announce the launch of the Oasis Academy Brislington Alumni Society.

The new alumni network aims to bring together former pupils from across the generations, creating opportunities for past students to reconnect, stay in touch with their year groups, and take part in future reunion events. The society will welcome anyone who attended the school under its current or previous names, including Oasis Academy Brislington, Brislington Enterprise College, and Brislington School.

The initiative is not only about celebrating the academy’s rich history but also about supporting its future. By building a strong network of former students, the school hopes to create opportunities for alumni to give back through careers guidance, mentoring, fundraising activities, and sharing their experiences with current students.

Over the past seven decades, thousands of young people have passed through the academy’s doors, going on to successful careers and making valuable contributions to their communities. The Alumni Society will provide a way for those former students to remain part of the academy family and help inspire the next generation.

Humanities Teacher, P.G. Hunt, who is leading the initiative, said:

"As we celebrate 70 years of education in Brislington, we want to reconnect with as many former students as possible. The Alumni Society will help people stay connected with old friends and support the academy in providing even more opportunities for our current students."
